Elizabeth Watson came to RAP directly after completing her Master of Environmental Management degree at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment, concentrating in energy and environment. During this time, Ms. Watson worked extensively with North Carolina stakeholders on energy issues to complete her master’s project, which assessed the use of decoupling as a means to removing disincentives for energy efficiency in the state.
She also spent time supporting the work of North Carolina’s Energy Policy Council, particularly its Energy Efficiency Workgroup as well as working with the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association on energy policy issues and Environment North Carolina on its “Grow Solar” campaign.
Ms. Watson received her BA from the University of Florida with a major in business administration and minors in Spanish and theater, and she speaks fluent Spanish.
