Wang Xuan

Senior Advisor, Consultant

Wang Xuan provides research and analysis on clean energy strategies to our China team, with a focus on demand response, renewable energy integration, air quality management, and distributed generation. As a member of our China team, she provides project management and research support, working closely with local government, RAP’s partner organizations, and research institutes.

Wang came to RAP in 2011 after an internship with the Energy Foundation China, where she served as a project associate working on energy efficiency projects in China’s industrial and buildings sectors.

Wang Xuan earned a master’s degree in sustainable development from Paris Dauphine University and a second master’s degree in energy economics and environmental politics from the National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (affiliated with the French Atomic Energy Commission). She also holds a bachelor’s degree in land management from China Agricultural University. In addition, Wang participates in cultural exchanges and related activities. She has worked with both Chinese and international nongovernmental organizations, including the French Community, the China Institute in Paris, the Chinese Federation for Corporate Social Responsibility, and the Centre of International Business Ethics in Beijing.
