Energy regulators are pivotal in the energy transition. Traditionally focused on reliability and affordability, national and international policies mean they are now increasingly facing the challenge of decarbonisation. The Regulatory Energy Transition Accelerator (RETA) will host an event to raise awareness of regulators’ roles in decarbonisation and provide various blueprints for countries to empower their regulators. This event will feature the launch of the Policy Makers Guide “Empowering Regulators to Tackle Decarbonisation” and will bring key decision makers from the regulatory space to identify priorities for future collaboration between CEM and RETA. It also features the announcement of a CEM campaign on the same topic.
This event is organised by RETA, the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP), and the International Energy Agency (IEA), in collaboration with the 21st Century Power Partnership (21CPP), the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the Clean Energy Solutions Center (CESC). Space for this CEM15 side-event is limited, please express your interest in attending by emailing Alejandro Hernandez with the subject line “CEM15 side-event interest” or by clicking below.
