Deployment of heat pumps is a key part of the greenhouse gas reduction goals set out in the Inflation Reduction Act. CLASP and RAP have analyzed impacts of the IRA on the heat pump market in the United States and recommended complementary policies states can use to increase adoption of heat pumps, including workforce training, improved public access and participation and rate design.
