During a discussion organized by the Forum for Energy Analysis, RAP staff highlighted the opportunities and challenges for demand response in Poland. Drawing on U.S. and European experiences, the discussion focused on the use of demand response as a power system resource. It was held in the ambit of the Panel of Experts, an interactive discussion platform organized by the Forum that meets several times a year and includes leading experts from the Polish government, energy sector, business, academia, and civil society. Richard Cowart presented on the U.S. experience, followed by an overview of demand response in Europe by Edith Bayer, and a discussion of demand response in Poland by Jan Rączka.
