Thursday, July 17, 10:00-12:00 (Brasília Time, BRT)

Distribution System Operators (DSOs) are becoming critical enablers for integrating distributed energy resources and smart grid technologies into power systems globally. Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (ANEEL), under Brazil’s regulatory framework, establishes conditions for electricity distribution and market development to benefit Brazilian society, making the evolution of DSO roles particularly relevant for the country’s energy transition.

The Regulatory Assistance Project, with ANEEL, will facilitate a discussion of the paper Transitioning to Distribution System Operators in Brazil. This webinar will examine the evolving DSO functions across system operation, planning and market operation and will incorporate international best practices.

Dual simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English and Portuguese.
