The U.S.-China Energy Efficiency Forum was sponsored by U.S. Department of Energy and China’s National Development and Reform Commission. Rick Weston spoke on a panel that included Gary Locke, U.S. Ambassador to China, Xie Ji, Deputy Director-General of the NDRC, and Jennifer Matz, Director of the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development. Weston discussed the great strides China is making in adopting innovative and progressive policies to advance energy efficiency. He stressed that China, like the US, must do more to address the energy and environmental challenges it faces.
