An energy efficiency obligation (EEO) is a regulatory mechanism which requires the obligated parties to meet energy saving targets by delivering or procuring eligible energy savings through approved end-use energy efficiency measures. This hot topic drew registrants from 87 different countries for David Crossley’s webinar presentation entitled “Best Practices in Designing and Implementing Energy Efficiency Obligation Schemes.” Dr. Crossley summarizes the results of detailed case studies of 19 different EEO schemes implemented in a range of jurisdictions around the world, along with a unique comparative analysis of the schemes. He also highlights best practices in designing and implementing an EEO scheme for delivering cost-effective energy efficiency.
