Capturing the Emissions Reduction Benefits of Energy Efficiency
At the National Association of State Energy Officials’ State Energy Outlook Conference, RAP senior associate Ken Colburn offered state energy officers an overview of the air quality co-benefits that energy efficiency and renewable energy policies and measures can provide. These pollution reduction approaches can be more cost-effective than many traditional end-of-pipe pollution controls. Mr. Colburn also cites several issues involved in securing credit for pollution reductions due to energy efficiency and renewable energy actions.
