Demand Response as a System Resource in Poland
Demand response has the potential to serve as a reliable, cost-effective resource for the Polish power system. In a discussion hosted by the Forum for Energy Analysis, Dr. Jan Rączka outlined how demand response can help secure reliable power system operations—also during summer peak periods—and diversify the overall resource portfolio to increase the flexibility of the power system. He also describes the policy framework and state of the Polish demand response market today, identifies the large untapped potential that remains, and provides preliminary recommendations for how to further develop the demand response market in Poland.
