Energy Storage: Flexible and Low-Cost Options
In a presentation to the Maryland Public Service Commission, David Littell discussed electricity storage as a flexible, low-cost tool for meeting multiple grid and customer needs. Not only can energy storage enable smart demand response—through, for example, grid-interactive water heating and air conditioning storage—the electrification of heating and transportation can open up even more potential for bi-directional demand response.
