This presentation is an overview of how smart grids can enable energy efficiency, with the appropriate state policies, and was given as a part of a joint EPA-DOE Webinar: “What the Smart Grid Means for Energy Efficiency and EM&V: Opportunities and Challenges for States.” It explains what the smart grid is, some of its benefits, how it promotes energy efficiency, and preparing for the smart grid on a state level.
