Richard Sedano was part of the keynote panel at the Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP) conference in Toronto, Ontario on July 30. Joining him on the panel to discuss emerging issues in energy efficiency were Andrew Pride of the Ontario Power Authority, Gordon Kaiser, former vice-chair of the National Energy Board, and Dan Violette of Navigant Consulting. Sedano focused on the effect of lower natural gas prices on energy efficiency programs, increased pressure on measuring and verifying efficiency savings, on creating consistency in EM&V practices across jurisdictions, and about the influence of smart grid deployment on energy efficiency programs and EM&V practices.
