Transmission and Renewable Energy Planning in California: Opportunities for Regional Stakeholder Engagement
On November 14, 2012, the Western Interstate Energy Board hosted a webinar on the draft report “Transmission and Renewable Energy Planning in California: Opportunities for Regional Stakeholder Engagement”. Giancarlo Estrada and Edward Burgess of the Kris Mayes Law Firm presented the firm’s draft report for the Western Governors’ Association, which was prepared under contract to RAP. The paper describes the renewable energy and transmission planning processes in California, including observations on where stakeholder input is likely to have the greatest impact on regional development of resources and transmission lines.
