Dheer Patel provides RAP’s India team with high-level policy and program assistance on clean energy strategies and energy efficiency policies. He works closely with RAP’s policy experts and associates in areas related to wholesale electricity market design and retail tariff design.
Mr. Patel joined RAP in July 2018 after completing his postgraduate studies. Previously, he was a RAP intern on a joint project titled “Meeting the renewable revolution: A roadmap for electricity market design in India.” He assisted with both qualitative and quantitative research on the project, which was supported by the International Growth Centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
He also has experience developing games based on economic principles.
Mr. Patel holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, and a master’s in economics with a specialization in energy economics from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun.
