In this Electrification Academy webinar, we explored heat pump deployment in southern Europe through the cases of Italy and Spain. Speakers from ECODES and ènostra joined Marion Santini and Lorenzo Sapochetti of the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) to discuss electricity pricing, regulation, incentives, and the practical challenges of scaling up heat pumps in diverse and fragmented energy systems. The session examined what these experiences mean for EU heat policy and the forthcoming Heating and Cooling Strategy.
