Katie McCormack is enjoying retirement. Her past role was as program director of West Policy at the Energy Foundation, where her grant portfolio included energy optimization, renewable power and grid integration, climate, market and coal strategies. Before joining Energy Foundation in 2007, she worked as an independent consultant, including eight years under contract to Energy Foundation on assignments including strategy development, grantmaking and grantee coordination for the Western Power Campaign and the Clean Distributed Generation Initiative. Katie also consulted with the Hewlett Foundation on the Western Governors’ Association clean energy initiative and coordination of energy and public lands grantees. While at Pacific Gas & Electric Company’s Research and Development Department from 1989-1997, she supported the Clean Technology Readiness Acceleration Initiative and coordinated department rate case filings. From 1985 to 1989 she consulted to the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Renewable Energy, the California Energy Commission Energy Technology Export Program, and the Arizona Energy Office. At the then-Solar Energy Research Institute from 1981 to 1989, she participated in planning and implementing research on buildings, solar thermal and industrial technologies. Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in political economy from Colorado College and a master’s in policy analysis from the University of Washington.

Read More +
