Electrification has become a cornerstone of the energy transition. In 2020, the then European Copper Institute and the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) established the ‘Electrification Academy’ webinar series to promote the benefits of this powerful decarbonisation tool.
Over five years, the two organisations conducted 25 webinars, for participants in 150 countries across the globe. The hosts welcomed experts to speak about broad topics such as electric vehicles, renewables and clean heat. The series also delved into more complex subjects like electricity network tariff methodologies in Europe and a breakdown of the winter energy crisis in the U.S. state of Texas in 2021.
RAP is delighted to take on full stewardship of the Electrification Academy as of 2025. Our heartfelt thanks go to what is now the International Copper Association Europe for the years of productive collaboration and commitment to electrification.
