Jinglin Duan is a seasoned expert in energy market and sustainable development. Before joining RAP, Jinglin led the Carbon Asset and Decarbonization Service Team at the State Power Investment Corporation Research Institute in Beijing, where she has been instrumental in formulating decarbonization plans for multiple municipalities, analyzing energy and carbon market development, and conducting carbon emission assessment for various energy projects. Prior to that, Jinglin worked as a senior consultant at London Economics International LLC in Boston, where she served as the primary electricity market modeler for ISO-New England and SERC regions, and also led macroeconomic impact analysis and energy market regulatory studies.
Jinglin is a passionate development practitioner and is dedicated in fostering cross-cultural understanding and addressing shared challenges across border lines. Her experiences includes a stint of working with the United Nations Development Programme on environmental issues related to the extractive industry in New York, providing advisory regarding green agriculture for a local NGO in Tanzania, as well as volunteering in rainforest conservation in Peru and in post-earthquake construction in Sichuan, China.
Jinglin holds a master of public administration in development practice from Columbia University's School of International & Public Affairs, and dual bachelor's degrees in environmental science and economics from Peking University.
